Sutcliffe Schools aims to support every school and young person to achieve their full potential when using our physical literacy play and sports equipment.
Our products can be applied in a wide variety of outdoor school settings. They have been designed to support children’s fundamental movement skills and our commitment embodies the concept of physical literacy. Enabling children to be physically literate supports their development for the future.
Snug encourages social interaction, co-operation and inspires creativity. Requiring no installation, and being weather proof and durable, it should provide endless play opportunities for many years to come.
Using Snug allows children to experience and explore a large number of fundamental movement skills, with the adaptability of loose parts allowing each year group to focus specifically on teaching and assessing a small number of physical literacy skills, from foundation to key stage 2.
Tight budgets increasingly means that schools rely on innovative fundraising efforts to purchase equipment. Knowing where to look is always a good start and, as there are so many possible funding organisations, visit our Funding page for further information on organisations you may find useful.

The major problem facing Lawrence Price, Head Teacher of Keys Meadows Primary School, in Enfield, is that the nine-piece kit has, if anything, proved a little too popular with the 300 youngsters.
Head Teacher Rob Earrey comments: “Snug is creative, imaginative, intriguing, enticing, but most importantly fun. I love it and so do the children.”
