It’s all change at Blackfriars Play Area!

Since taking up the challenge of transforming your local playground, we’ve been hard at work putting together the perfect design to unlock this site’s huge play potential – for the benefit of every local child!

Over the course of our project, you’ll notice some big changes happening before we’ve even begun to install our new equipment: many of the older items will be removed, making way for an exciting infusion of brand-new kit, and you’ll see colourful Nike Grind surfacing begin to appear, to provide the safest, most consistent surfacing possible.

All work, for more play!

But that’s just the start! We’re working hard to bring a fantastic array of our most up-to-date, engaging equipment from our factory in the heart of Yorkshire all the way here – and we can’t wait for the entire community to discover the excitement that lies in store! Look out for our nautical-themed Boat Climber and Pirate Ship units, bringing the spirit of the nearby sea all the way to the play area, as well as our wheelchair-accessible Inclusive Roundabout, our colourful Minnow climbing frame, challenging Wipe Out balance board, thrilling Fun Trail Balance Beams, and much more!

That’s just a handful of the fantastic surprises that are heading to Blackfriars Play Area – the rest will be revealed very soon, when this brand-new play space opens, and you and your family will discover all of them for yourselves!

Our transformation of Blackfriars Play Area has begun!

After removing the existing equipment and wet pour surfacing, we’re ready to get cracking with an exciting infusion of brand new equipment. As you can see, we’ve been hard at work delivering everything needed to make Blackfriars a truly brilliant new play space, with our Pirate Ship, Wipe Out balancing board, and Modular Swings already in the ground!

This is only the beginning of our changes here, so keep a keen eye out for further progress in the days ahead!

Peak play incoming!

Standing at the top of newly installed our Minnow climber and surveying our work at Blackfriars, its plain to see that this transformation is continuing apace!

Our Wheelchair Accessible Roundabout stands ready to get visitors of all abilities in a serious spin, whilst a brand new Nest Swing Seat guarantees a whole group of friends plenty of airborne exhilaration. Meanwhile, at the other end, our Fun Trail Balance Beams are perfectly poised to produce some peak thrills, for those willing to accept the challenge!

But there’s a lot more change still to come – keep an eye out for Nike Grind surfacing, arriving soon, and sure to provide the perfect grounding for endless fun!

Set Sail For Adventure!

Our work here is (very nearly) done! This brand new play space, fully surfaced and looking fresh, is now open for business – and that business is FUN! Young visitors can finally head for the high seas on our Pirate Ship or Boat Climber, scale our Minnow Climber, and much else besides.

But this voyage isn’t quite finished yet! We couldn’t be more excited to be attending a special grand opening, to properly celebrate this fantastic project, on Thursday, August 15th – and we hope to see you there, me hearties!
