Sutcliffe Play is celebrating the UK’s first Employee Ownership Day on Thursday 4 July 2013. As the UK’s first and only Employee Owned playground equipment company we are delighted to be able to champion staff-led businesses, and show the success of the model.
Work has been completed on the Robert Kingan playground in Bannings Vale, East Saltdean. The refurbished playground was opened by The Town Mayor Councillor Brendon Rossiter on Tuesday 28 May, with children from East Saltdean and Telscombe. (more…)

Wakefield Council has worked with Upton based play experts Sutcliffe Play to design a new £70,000 playground in Airedale as part of a scheme that tackles obesity by providing outdoor facilities that encourage and support physical activity. It includes a new Mission play system and specially designed Parkour features.
The Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) and UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) have invited employee-owned, play experts Sutcliffe Play to present the company’s international experience and successes at an export event on 18 October.
Swanage Town Council has recently undertaken a project to update the play area in Day’s Park. The old play equipment had come to the end of its life, and under the stringent health and safety guide lines for playgrounds it was deemed necessary to close the existing play area.
