Sutcliffe Play is proud to announce its membership of Made in Britain, an organisation bringing together the best of the British manufacturing community.
As well as being the UK’s first employee-owned playground equipment manufacturer, we are extremely proud of our British manufacturing roots that span over 150 years. From mining equipment and engineering, Sutcliffe Play has evolved, and we now have over 60 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing children’s playground equipment.
We pioneered the introduction of Rubber Swing Seats in 1975 and are still manufacturing on site in our purpose-built factory in the old mining town of Upton to this day.
We specialise in creating tailor made, bespoke, outdoor play space solutions for our customers and lead the way in creating new play opportunities. We believe passionately in inclusive play and we deliver this in an invisible way, with the aim of allowing all children to play side by side irrespective of their perceived ability.
Andy Love, Sales and Marketing Director at Sutcliffe Play Ltd said, “As a British manufacturer for over 150 years with some of the most innovative developments in the market-place, accreditation by Made in Britain will strengthen our ability to promote our brand with clients.”
