Product Description

Metal Playground Swing

Designed especially to accommodate several young children and those with special needs, this 1.2m inclusive rubber nest swing seat is designed like bird’s nest and enables children of all abilities to swing together, for a more sociable experience.

It has been fully tested and certified to EN1176 safety standards.

Additional Product Information

Our Metal swings are available in different heights and seat options. They are extremely robust and benefit from zinc primed and powder coated framework and a hot dipped galvanised steel top bar. With anti-wrap bearings as standard, they prevent the swings from being wrapped around the top bar. We offer two heights 1.8m(6ft) and 2.4m(8ft). The height specified for each swing is taken from the centre of the top bar to ground level.

Wherever you go you will see Sutcliffe Play rubber swing seats. We are the world’s leading seat manufacturer, having developed and patented our first seat back in 1976 to replace hard wooden and plastic seats. A feature of most of our swing seats is the patented, impact-absorbing safety edges.

We have a wide range that includes inclusive swings and larger structures that can allow multiple users at one time and that can be a main feature in your play space. We can also offer the most basic of options when wishing to add to an existing playspace or use as a replacement for a previous swing.

The unique moulded nest pattern of this seat provides added grip for users and as the seat has been designed in four sections, if damaged or vandalised, any quarter can be replaced individually. With no need to replace the whole seat, this keeps replacement parts to a minimum. It can also be made available in different colours, tailored to suit your play scheme, or manufactured using a fire retardant compound. Please contact our sales team for further details on either of these requirements.
The rubber nest swing seat can be connected to a range of swing frames. Due to the D shackle connectors used for fittings, it can also be used on multi-directional swings such as our single point swing.
The nest swing’s rubber components have been tested in accordance with the restriction of the 8 PAH’s regulations and fully comply with the requirements of the European (REACH) legislation. It can also be manufactured with rubber tested in accordance with 18 PAH’s regulations if required.

All studies looking at the use of swings show that they are the most popular item in the playground. The swing is a stalwart of play and an item that children ask for without fail. The physical activity of swinging is good for muscular development and stimulates the heart and lungs. Our extensive range of swings caters for all ages and abilities.
