Wooden Climbing Frame.
Our wood multi-play unit, Oak is the largest of our new Orchard units with a total of 15 play activity features.
With a three tower configuration, two leaf decks and one circular deck, Oak is designed with a central traversing rope system which gives opportunities to play chasing games to and from each of the towers and their respective play elements.
With heights of 1.5m and 1.8m, this wooden multi play unit, Oak is configured to be a centre piece of a play space, suitable for all junior age children to play and develop their skills together. With fourteen activities the it is designed to win tenders when play value points are the decider.
Can accommodate up to 21 users.
A climbing wall, most challenging, gives this wood multi play unit a presence on presentations, while offering a climbing activity associated with more expensive units. It comes as standard.
A leaf step access echoes the climbing grips, but with enough room for a foot, making the climb slightly easier while still having to coordinate to accommodate a ‘spiral’ ascent.
Two rope traversing elements enable children to edge along suspended ropes at various heights between all the decks. A central pole has additional climbing nodules for an additional entry / exit point.
A ring/rope combination net to complete the circuit, joins all three towers.
with a firemen’s pole as a fast exit back to ground level
A suspended hammock positioned at one end of the wood multi play unit provides a rope net perch for children to sit and talk.
A climbing nodule post which gives direct access to the hammock.
An under deck seat gives an alternative meeting place, for another group of children but with a degree of cover by utilising the deck above.
An inclined climbing ramp joining to a 1.8m deck and an inclined log notch climber (1.8m) adds to the range of access with a step by step action.
A rubber peg climber, to shimmy up to the highest platform on this wood multi-play unit.
Primarily a natural product, the main component, the pine logs, are locally farmed from UK forests in a managed sustainable process that ensures the forests are always replenished. The timber we use is between 20 and 25 years old, so by the time your play equipment is at the end of its life newly grown trees will be ready for your next play products.
Sustainability continues with the natural rubber components used in Orchard; these are made from latex which is milked in a sustainable way that does not damage the trees.
The whole range is manufactured in our environmentally-friendly factory, where our impact on the local surroundings is carefully monitored to ensure it is kept at a minimum.
All Orchard posts are pressure treated against wet rot, dry rot, and insect infestation. This is only done after the posts have been cut and drilled to ensure that all exposed timber is fully treated.
Orchard’s natural appearance also allows it to blend aesthetically into outdoor play spaces.
We developed a unique joining system for the logs, made of rubber with a steel core which provides a strong connection. The system also spaces the logs slightly apart, which eliminates the possibility of fingers getting trapped between them.
