Inclusive
The Stay to Play is a pocket sized inclusive unit packed with physical and sensory activities easily accessed by all users. This unit features a range of accesses designed to challenge different levels of ability and has 13 play features.
A wheelchair ramp enables most wheelchairs / buggies to enter the system with a series of four ‘shuffle and crawl’ decks continuing access to the highest points of the unit. Many sensory and imaginative play elements can be accessed from ground level, extending the area of play.
Can accommodate up to 21 users.
The Access Ramp with two finger pathways, a circular maze and ‘bunny hop’ finger tracks provides wheeled or running access to a height of 0.15m. To the left a Sound and Vision Panel incorporates a stainless steel mirror that can also be used from outside the unit, to the front a Funny Face Panel offers movement of the eyes and mouth to create different expressions.
A Track Way Panel (used from ground level) has a circular route with steep and shallow curves. Nylon discs can be raced around the track with one finger. A Foot Print Flower points to six different animal prints (these can be duplicated in wet pour / thermoplastic graphics, creating a foot print finder game across the whole play area. A set of four triangular shuffle decks (150mm increments) guide the user past a step access and a vertical rock climber. At the highest deck (0.6m) rotating binoculars and a stainless steel bedway slide await.
A shop panel complete with counter and routed bell graphic incorporating a space for wheelchair users, completes the unit.
