We can’t keep it zipped about this any longer!
Sutcliffe Play were thrilled to visit Rochdale’s Denehurst Park recently to help open the brand-new double Cableway – the first we’ve installed anywhere in the country!
Excited local families and representatives from the Friends of Denehurst Park group and Rochdale Borough Council, including the Mayor, were in attendance to open the new equipment in style.
We were delighted to see young visitors wasting no time in zipping and zooming around on the new park centrepiece, and proud to see its double zipline delivering twice the fun! The children also received a goody bag to take away, and even the fine Greater Manchester weather was smiling on us.
We were touched to receive a thank you card for our work, signed by local children – it meant so much to our team, and reminded us why we do what we do!
Councillor Michael Holly, the Mayor of Rochdale, said: ‘It’s lovely to see everyone here and more importantly, all the children. The double cableway is a wonderful addition to this park in terms of facilities for them.’ He also joked that he was glad to see so many young visitors as he was worried about being asked to test out the new zipline himself!
We couldn’t be prouder of this new installation, and the hours of airborne adventure it will bring to the community. A huge thank you to all who organised this fantastic day – here’s to many more in Denehurst Park!
