Fizzy Lizard is the first play centre in the UK to use Snug. The kit is located outside to provide parents and children with exciting play options whatever the weather.
The play centre is part of the £12.5 million Huddersfield Christian Fellowship Cathedral House development which is the biggest church to be built in Britain for more than 20 years and designed not only to house the church but to benefit the wider community.
Catherdral House seats 2100 in the main auditorium and includes a large bookshop, café, conference facilities, teaching rooms and onsite parking. Jo Lewis, Manager at Fizzy Lizard first saw Snug when working as a primary school teacher:
“When we first started work on Fizzy Lizard I remembered the Snug brochure landing on my desk at school and knew it would be perfect.
“It provides children with stimulating play opportunities at the same time as encouraging them to use their imagination and develop their social skills. “The reception from the children has been fantastic and as a play centre it is proving valuable to offer an outside play area to encourage families to keep visiting in warmer weather.
” The Snug kit, designed specifically with primary school aged children in mind, comprises nine large colourful pieces of equipment that children can easily move around to create their own playful landscape”.
