Cambridgeshire development

Update

The site is progressing well, with all the fixed equipment is now in the ground except the sand and water play and the self build. The Dalben Tower was erected recently with the aid of a mobile crane.

The sleeper walkways are taking shape and the edging to the bark areas has also been installed.

We’ve remodelled to get the larger ravine swing to fit and this is now looking good. The fence is all up except an access area where we’ll need to get the 300 tonne crane in to lift the barges.

There is a “Play Day” on 4th August and we’ve agreed to get a number of areas finished for that date to allow a partial completion and hand over some of the site to Cambridge County Council which will allow them to use these areas for play whenever they wish.

The barges are looking spectacular, we’ve nearly finished fitting out the Classroom barge and the toilet barge is now fully fabricated and will be started soon.

A youth group is being formed with some of the local young people to follow the final stages of the construction phase.
