The Wisbech site is coming along in leaps and bounds, with more and more elements now in place, including the double cableway, cutter swing and slingshot.
The ampitheatre feature is taking shape, with the seating and flooring now in place. The circular, two tier stone seating area has been designed to act as a meeting point for play workers, supervisors and children, as well as an informal performance space to encourage children to express themselves. The ampitheatre will also have an array of sail shades, providing an area to shelter.
Both barges, weighing in at roughly 15 tonnes each, are nearing completion and should be ready to install on site in about six weeks. They are currently grey but are due to be painted blue to bring a splash of colour to the playscape, with cream interiors and authentic mahogany portholes.
Keep your eyes peeled for more news on our progress!
