Home Show Exhibition, a great success!

Our first ever Home Show Exhibition proved to be a great success with both customers and children alike.

Installing new play spaces around the factory allowed our guests to see first-hand the play value our innovative equipment can bring, especially as the visiting children from Upton Primary School and Highfield Special School were so enthusiastic to use the equipment.

During the three day exhibition we hosted a series of seminars, launched new playground equipment, hosted factory tours and guests were able to visit local playgrounds that have been designed, manufactured and installed by Sutcliffe Play. We were able  to give customers a behind the scenes look at what makes the company tick as well as preview new products and provide the running programme of seminar’s to increase knowledge and share experiences.

Martin Griffin, Managing Director of Sutcliffe Play comments: “We organised the Home Show Exhibition to provide customers with a unique insight into the design and manufacture process at Sutcliffe Play.

“It allowed us to showcase our knowledge and expertise in manufacturing, as well as strengthening our relationships with our valued customers.  We take pride in our work and we’re delighted to be opening the doors to customers from as far away as New York.”

Seminars included Jess Harrison, Deputy Head of Bluebell Park Special School in Knowsley, who discussed designing a truly inclusive play space; a discussion on designing play scapes in line with new EU standards; Snug and the concept of loose parts play with Hattie Coppard from Snug and Outdoor; information on incorporating Outdoor Gym Equipment into play areas, with new regulations and an insight on designing for Public Realm.

Exhibition equipment installed included:

  • Orchard: New equipment that will be added to the Sutcliffe Play wooden based range. The kit fulfills many of the development needs of children from the ages of 6-14.  This environmentally-friendly play equipment range encourages physical, challenging play and social interaction.
  • Fitness equipment: Now available from Sutcliffe Play that will include stand alone units, Multi-Gym’s and an innovative Green Energy Gym, all manufactured in the UK.
  • Mission: A new unit, from the range that caters for older junior’s from the ages of 8-14. ‘Hunter’, is a new configuration that covers a smaller surface area helping to keep costs low on safety surfacing.

Martin concludes: “The Home Show was the perfect opportunity for Sutcliffe Play to ensure we are front of mind with all of our customers.  We believe it has placed us in an excellent position to build on current relationships and help us to grow the company.”
